I met Bill at a New Year’s dance 1941/1942 in Cleethorpes,
England. I came to Corner Brook in May, the weather was good and my in-laws lived
on the west side with a bathroom and running water. We got on well together.
What took getting use to was “jiggs dinner”and fish and brews.
