POWER, Joan Edna (nee Brazier)

Passed peacefully away at St. Clare's Mercy Hospital, Palliative Care Unit, on Sunday, June 24, 2001, Joan Edna Power, aged 78 years, formerly of Kent, England. Joan was a War Bride who resided in Grand Falls and more recently in St. John's. Predeceased by her husband Kit Power; her parents Frank and Kathleen Brazier; her twin sister Jean Elizabeth Trotman. Leaving to mourn with fond memories, her six daughters: Libby, Penny Bogumil, Jocelyn Laing (Bill) Holly Galway (Jeff), Jackie, Kim (Gary Haynes); her only son Richard; six grandchildren: Iain, Craig, Stephen, Samantha, Eric and Hannah; in-laws: Gus and Geraldine Power, Pat Power, Isabelle and Al Aucoin; and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Resting peacefully at Barrett's Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue, from 7-9 p.m. on Monday, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Tuesday. Funeral Service from the Church of St. Mary the Virgin, Craigmillar Avenue at a time to be announced. Cremation to follow. Inurnment to take place at a later date at the Field of Honor, Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are gratefully accepted or donations may be made to a charity of one's choice. June 25, 2001
