For the purpose of this site, the definition of a war bride is a woman who met and married a Newfoundland service man overseas during or shortly after the war and returned before him, with him, or shortly after him to live in Newfoundland.

This is a very informative and interesting site, well worth a visit.

WWI War Brides = 13

  • Newfoundland Female Veterans

  • WWII Newfoundland Female Veterans

While I was doing research on Newfoundland War Brides for this site it came to my attention that the roll of the Newfoundland women who enlisted has gone almost unnoticed. Being interested in the roll of women in our history, it only seemed natural to add a roll of honor for these women.
