The liner Scythia sailed from here Monday with 480 wives and children of
Newfoundlanders repatriated last year. The passengers included 300 wives and
children of Canadian servicemen.

GALES DELAY SCYTHIA
HALIFAX, March 26.-(CP)
Strong westerly gales in the Atlantic were given as the reason for 24 hours
delay in the arrival of the liner Scythia at Halifax, with 800 dependents of
Canadian servicemen. The liner is due to arrive today.
