Corner Brook was beautiful and people were very friendly and welcoming. I found it hard to adjust to their style of living at first, i.e. no running water, no toilets inside, etc. I missed family at home.
Allan Rowsell was the son of WWI veteran Walter Bernado Rowsell who brought home war Scottish bride Janet Park (nee Wallace) Rowsell .
