SHEPPARD, Mary (Fletcher)Corner Brook, NF
Passed peacefully away on Tuesday, Dec. 25, 2001 at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital after a lengthy illness, Mary Sheppard at the age of 80. Mary was born Nov. 20, 1921 in Liverpool, England. She was married Sept. 14, 1940 in Liverpool, England and moved to Newfoundland as a war bride in 1947. She will be sadly missed by her husband George Stanley Sheppard; children: Anita MacInnis (Walter), Highlands, Norma Childs, Kippens, Linda Lewis (Jerry), Holyrood, Lorraine Tiessen (John), Etobicoke, Ontario, Loretta Abbott (Glen), Glovertown, Mary Sheppard (Paul Hickey), Toronto, Ontario, George Sheppard, Toronto, Ontario, Jackie Alcock (Gary), Corner Brook, Honorah Sheppard (Robert Sanford), Kingston, Nova Scotia; 21 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; sisters: Margaret Drury, Thornton, England, Nora Dawson, Wallesey, England, brother James Fletcher, Lark Harbour; and numerous other relatives and friends. The funeral service will be held Friday, Dec. 28 at 10:30 a.m. from The Most Holy Redeemer Cathedral, Mt. Bernard Avenue. Friends may visit Fillatre's Funeral Home, 4 St. Mark's Avenue Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. As expressions of sympathy flowers are graciously accepted.
